Kujundzic switches back to MMA to face Gashi
Mladen Kujundzic, well experienced Croatian kickboxer, is making his MMA return at WFC 22 in Ljubljana next Saturday, May 19. Stepping in as a last-minute replacement for Vasic, he'll face the undefeated Gashi in one of two heavyweight bouts of the evening. Big men clashes had always been the crowd pleasers in the MMA and this one is set to be one of the most intense ones. Kujundzic has been looking for an MMA return for quite some time after making his name in the region as one of the most explosive fighters in kickboxing.
''I was looking to secure an MMA fight for quite some time now. I feel ready, not only that, I believe that I'm in a top condition to make some noise in the heavyweight division. I'm thankful for this opportunity to step in the WFC ring once again and show to everyone what I'm capable of,'' stated the experienced Croatian from Rijeka. ''I don't know much about Gashi, though I'm sure he'll be a bit heavier than me, but that does not bother me at all. My standup is top-class and I'll be looking to finish the fight standing firmly on my feet.''
