Claudio Conti returns to Challengers with high expectations

Middleweight bout between Claudio Conti and Jusuf Hajrovic might be one of the most interesting fights. Italian Conti, who ranks No. 5 on WFC's Middleweight Ranking wanted to fight at the Challengers to expand his experience inside the ring. With professional record of 5-2-0 he will be a tough challenge for Jusuf Hajrovic from Serbia.

22-year-old Conti fights for Shootteam Padova from Italy and is coming to Slovenia to make a statement. His goal is to fight regularly at WFC main events and that means that there is no room for mistakes." I think everybody would like to fight for WFC title. Anyway, I'm ready for any opponent that Mr.Mahic will give me," stated Conti. He’ll have his shot against 21-year-old Hajrovic who will enter the ring with a record of 6 wins and 1 loss.

"I’m not afraid," Claudio ensured us when being asked about his opponent. Hajrovic is completely unknown to him but he promises that he’ll be ready for any situation. "I can fight in stand up or on the ground, it makes no difference to me."

Conti is working on his cardio every morning for the past couple of weeks as he is preparing to be in the best shape as possible for this fight. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner is fond of challenges that are put in front of him and push him to the limit. This fight can be just that.

What do you think, will Conti prove to everyone that he is legitimate No. 5 middleweight in the WFC and that he’s one of top contenders? Or can we witness a surprise ending, something that is not impossible in the world of MMA?

Be sure to get your tickets at Eventim and be a part of action packed evening of mixed martial arts in Litija on 16 March.
