WFC 10 – Night of Champions

 

 

Brace yourself and hold on, because the biggest mixed martial arts extravaganza this spring is once again coming to you from the heart of Europe – Slovenia. For their March 27 anniversary show, number ten, promoter Zlatko Mahic has spared neither trouble nor expenses and assembled and all-star card with some of the best fighters from across the continent.

 

In the main event, WFC is teaming up with KSW to do something that has never been attempted in the history of European MMA before. Not only will they co-promote a fight, but both titles are on the line as WFC middleweight champion Bruno Carvalho (10-4) takes on KSW 85kg title holder Vitor Nobrega (8-1) in an insane bout of Brazilian-on-Brazilian violence!

 

In the co-headliner Slovenian superstar Miran Fabjan will return to put his WFC Kickboxing middleweight title on the line against none other than his countryman Ivan Budimir. The Slovenian takewondo national team member has been on fire as of late, winning a hotly contested slugfest with Croatian ace Srdjan Spirk last December.

 

And in the featured bout of the evening, the roll call of champions continues as KSW 9 tournament champion Jan Blachowicz (8-2) faces the immensely dangerous Serbian judoka Aleksandar Radosavljevic (8-1) in a true light heavyweight slobberknocker. Blachowicz has prepared in San Diego for this fight and he will come in the shape of his life!

 

If that wasn’t enough, KSW 75kg champion Maciej Gorski (7-4) will try to rebound from the tough loss against Dean Amasinger last December as he goes head to head with hot-blooded Italian all-rounder Ivan Mussardo (14-4). The Frota jiu-jitsu brown belt made his successful WFC debut last December when he submitted Austria’s Dorian Pridal in a little over three minutes.

 

Last but not least, Slovenian crowd favorite Marko Drmonjic (2-5-1) will try to pick up where he left off at WFC 9 when he came from behind to score an impressive win over Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Alan Carlos. The MMA Ljubljana member will step into the ring with Croatian muay Thai specialist Mario Valentic. In addition, fighters from Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Slovakia and the Czech Republic are also set to participate.
