Bruno Carvalho vs. Gael Grimaud, WFC 16
02.02.2012
Top class Welterweights will battle it out on April 22nd, as Bruno Carvalho (13-5) makes his WFC return to take on Gael Grimaud (14-5) of France.
This marks 'BC's' fourth bout for the World Freefight Challenge, and one of his toughest tests to date. Fans will remember Bruno from his title victory against Jean Francois Lenogue at WFC 9, and his exciting encounters with Lubomir Gedjev and Vitor Nobrega.

The Brazilian, who now resides in Sweden, is known for his well-rounded style, which has seen him score ten wins inside the distance, including a knockout victory over Gregory Babene. In spite of his evident high quality though, Carvalho will still have his hands full at WFC 16.
Gael Grimaud, France's top 77kg fighter, has won his last five contests and utilises a dazzling array of suplexes in his bouts; bringing a dynamicism to the ring it's hard to reproduce. A win over Carvalho would be huge for the Toulouse-man, and he will be pulling out all the stops to make this happen.

This is likely to be one of the best fights Europe will see in 2012, and with more fights set to be announced, WFC 16 is sure to be an unmissable night of MMA and K-1.
